Who makes this

WasiLearn Code is written and maintained by Wasiullah Qureshi in Karachi, Pakistan. It is part of WasiLearn, which also runs early-learning games for ages 2–6 and WasiLearn Academy, a live coding school that has taught over a thousand students.

The lessons here come out of that classroom experience: the same explanations, the same order, the same points where students reliably get stuck.

Why it is free

Two reasons, and it is worth being straight about both.

The first is that a paywall on beginner material is a bad idea. Someone deciding whether programming is for them should not have to pay to find out.

The second is that this site is funded by advertising, and some readers go on to take a live class with the Academy. That is the whole business model. There is no premium tier, no upsell, and nothing on this site is hidden behind a signup.

How the lessons are made

Every lesson is written by a person, then checked by running the code. Examples are not decorative — they are executed in your browser, which means a broken example is visibly broken rather than quietly wrong.

Where a topic needs something we cannot run in a browser — installing Node, setting up a database, an API key — the lesson says so plainly instead of pretending otherwise.

What we will not do

• No claims about what you will earn. Learning to code may improve your prospects. Anyone promising a number is selling something.
• No "master X in 24 hours". You will not. Nobody does.
• No invented statistics or fake citations. If a claim is here, it can be checked.
• No AI-generated filler. AI is used as a tool during writing; every lesson is edited, verified and owned by a human.

Corrections

If something here is wrong — a bug in an example, an explanation that misleads, a broken link — please tell us at info@wasilearn.com. Corrections are made quickly and without fuss.
